“F1” means Flexibility for Healthcare
The F1 printer is ideal for a variety of healthcare applications
This month’s newsletter describes applications for the F1 barcode printer in the healthcare industry. The Argox PT-80 Series now comes with built-in wireless. And we share our partners’ experience in Taiwan as they take a break from Computex.
Application
The F1 Barcode Printer in Healthcare

For healthcare applications, the F1 barcode printer offers not only industrial reliability but also flexibility for use in a wide variety of printing tasks. Hospitals and clinics use barcode labels to identify and track blood sample bags and tubes, urinalysis samples, and other analysis and diagnosis consumables and equipment. Health organizations also use barcode labels for applications such as asset management and drug inventory and dispensing.

The F1 printer is ideal for printing labels in many shapes and sizes. One label required by many health care organizations is the wristband commonly used for tracking and treating patients. The F1 has an innovative transmissive sensor that detects the wristband’s varying width and allows it to print wristbands quickly and easily. With a capacity of up to 15,000 labels per day, the F1 can meet any printing requirement.

Argox’s new F1 is perfect for a variety of applications, offering 203dpi printing resolution, 4-inch printing width, industrial ribbon and media, 4MB/8MB memory, and multiple communication interfaces. Special features include a twin-eyed sensor system, a unique media guide lock, a ribbon inside/outside auto-switch, a buzzer function, quick installation and maintenance, and outstanding user-friendliness.

For healthcare applications the F1 label printer offers flexibility, reliability, and convenience.

Exhibition
Computex After Hours

Last week the annual Computex show, one of the largest exhibitions for the IT industry, was held in Taipei, Taiwan. Each year the show attracts visitors from around the world. The event brings many of our partners to Taiwan, and during the show they may have chance to come to our office for a visit. This gives us a good opportunity to introduce them to the sights and sounds of Taiwan.

One of the comments we often hear is that it’s very easy to get around Taipei. There are many sights to see that are within a half hour by car, including one of the world’s tallest buildings, our national museum, national parks, as well as rivers, beaches, and mountains. Public transportation is fast and convenient and visitors are often impressed by how clean and well-maintained the mass transit system is. For shopping there are large department stores as well as night markets where visitors can buy gifts such as inexpensive toys or traditional Chinese clothing.

During Computex week our sales reps often invite our partners out for dinner. There is excellent food wherever you go in Taiwan, from special tea drinks to spicy dumplings. Afterwards, they may go for drinks and dancing, and visitors comment on the reasonable prices of Taipei’s pubs. Of course in the morning our sales reps are a little hazy from having fun the night before. After a busy day at the show our Computex visitors find that Taipei after hours can be a great place to relax and have a good time.
