Organization

> Mobile Device Division Taking Orders

Argox’s new Mobile Device Division has started taking orders as of October 1st. Mobile devices such as portable data terminals (PDT) require a high level of system integration with applications and software support. The new division provides dedicated and professional customer support for the Argox line of PDTs. For information or inquiries about the Argox line of terminals, please contact Rosemary Huang at rosemary_huang@argox.com.

Event Previews

> CeBIT Eurasia in Turkey / SMAU in Italy

Our good partners will represent Argox at two big shows in October. The Argox sales team will also be on hand to provide support and to introduce and demonstrate new products. At the CeBIT Eurasia show in Istanbul Turkey, October 7-12, our partners Bilkur (Hall 2, Stand 116) and Perkon (Hall 2, Stand 314) will have Argox products on display.

At the SMAU 2008 Business Technology show in Milan, Italy, October 15-18, our partner Pernix (Hall 3, Stand D36-C37) will be showing the Argox line of products. Pernix will also host an exclusive Argox event launching our new generation of products on October 17 from 11:00 to 13:00 in Hall 3. The Argox sales team will give a presentation at the event.

We look forward to visiting our partners’ booths and meeting with their customers. If you are going to either show, please come by and say hello!

Products

> New Charging Cradle

Argox has a new charging cradle for use with cordless scanners AS-8510 and AS-8000CL. The new charging cradle does not have a data transfer function so it is considerably less expensive than other cradles. Scanners can instead transfer data wirelessly through a dongle attached to the host computer.

Case Study

> Package Labeling

An Argox customer in Greece recently sent the attached photos showing a factory labeling application for the OS-214plus. The application also uses an AS-8310 scanner with auto-sensing and a stand. Wishing to replace an old printer, the customer chose the OS-214plus after one week of testing. They felt the OS-214plus provided a solution that is convenient and error free. The customer also commented on Argox’s fast and flexible support as a factor in their decision.
