> PT-18 to Replace PT-12 Portable Data Collector

Argox has announced the end of life (EOL) schedule for the PT-12 portable data collector. Taking the place of the PT-12 in meeting customer requirements is the recently launched PT-18. The PT-18 is an upgraded version of the PT-12 with a larger 4MB memory as well as a new infrared (IR) interface.

Like the PT-12, the PT-18 is a cost-effective, lightweight data collector that will increase the speed and accuracy of data entry for mobile operators. It is ideal for applications such as inventory control for warehouses, supermarkets, hospitals and more. To support the preferences of our PT-12 users, there has been no major change in the PT-18’s product exterior or packaging.

The EOL schedule for the PT-12 is:

  1. EOL program begins: July 11th, 2008
  2. Last order taking period: July 11th ~ October 11th, 200
  3. EOL last shipment period: October 11th, 2008~December 11th, 2008

Argox will keep necessary parts for the PT-12 on hand for further in-warranty and out-of-warranty service. For potential or ongoing projects, please inquire about the PT-18. For any questions, please contact the Argox Sales Team.

Partner Spotlight

> Print Technology 2008, Malaysia

Our partner in Malaysia, Code Soft Technology Sdn Bhd, represented Argox from August 1~4 at the Print Technology 2008 exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Code Soft has participated in this show for the past 4~5 years with good results. This year they invited our Asia Pacific sales manager to come and see the show.

The focus of the Print Technology show is on printers and copy machines. It’s not really a show for the AIDC industry, and Code Soft is the only booth exhibiting barcode and label printers. However, Code Soft has been very successful getting inquiries here. They rightly concluded that there would be people passing through the show that also need label and barcode printers. Argox would like to thank Code Soft for representing Argox products, and also thank them for sharing this approach for increasing sales.
