Argox has officially launched its mobile devices division. With sales of portable data terminals (PDTs) increasing and the introduction of several new models, Argox decided it was time for greater investment in the mobile devices product line. CEO Perry Ho said, “Our three product lines—printers, scanners, and now mobile devices—all have synergies and offer a more stable line of products. Not only can we offer one stop shopping for our customers, but we also gain benefits such as reduced costs from greater production capacity and utilization.”

Mobile devices such as PDTs are project-based products that require a high level of system integration with applications and software support. Argox’s newly independent mobile devices division was established to provide dedicated and professional customer support. Sales and marketing will be working hand-in-hand with R&D, providing market feedback for more efficient product development. “We established the mobile devices division to let our people know they are a single unit. We also wish to let our customers know that we are serious about investing in this product line,” said Perry.

Argox product brochures have a new look and focus. With growing concern for protecting our environment, Argox is striving to find ways to reduce waste, increase energy efficiency, and improve our overall sustainability. The new brochures are designed to be eco-friendly, promoting greater care for the environment with green themes from nature. We have reduced the material required for each brochure, using only one sheet of A4 paper printed with descriptions and specifications on the front and back. The paper also has no surface coating for easier recycling. Argox encourages everyone to find ways to protect the environment and conserve natural resources. We only have one planet, and it’s our responsibility to take care of it.

Code Soft Technology Sdn Bhd, our partner in Malaysia, is representing Argox at the Print Technology 2008 exhibition from August 1~4 at the Putra World Trade Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Their booth is located in Hall 1, #1078. The Argox products Code Soft will demo include the OS-series, R-series, and X-series barcode printers, wired and wireless scanners, and the PT-18, PT-20, PT-60, and PT-80 portable terminals.

Argox held a birthday party on June 27 for all of our colleagues born in the months of April, May, and June. Once a monthly event, this was our first quarterly celebration, and now we can really celebrate.
