This year we are holding our first EMEA conference in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, inviting our partners from countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Last year our Czech distributors hosted an Argox seminar on a river boat in Prague, it was such a success that we decided to share this delightful experience with partners from other parts of the world. From May 13~15, Argox has invited partners from 25 countries to join us in Prague for a special river cruise and our first EMEA distributor’s conference.

Our partners will stay in the five-star Esplanade Hotel in the center of town, which is in an ideal location for sightseeing this historic city. The EMEA conference will be held on a riverboat that will cruise through the most beautiful parts of Prague’s old medieval city. On the riverboat Argox will introduce and demo several of our newest products, and also give our partners a chance to chat and compare notes as we enjoy a meal and cocktails on this scenic river tour of Prague. Next month’s newsletter will feature photos and the story of this international riverboat conference.

This month Argox launches another new product: the X-2000v industrial barcode printer. Mass production begins this month and Argox is encouraging customers to send in their sample orders.

The versatile new X-2000v printer features "stand-alone" operation. It comes with 4MB of flash memory, 8MB SDRAM, and a standard PS2 interface to connect a PC keyboard or scanner for independent data input—no extra cost for KDU or printer controller is required.

The X-2000v offers an enhanced print mechanism that lets users adjust print quality by hand. Improvements include a switch for setting inside or outside ribbon coating; a new peeler module; easily adjusted thermal print head pressure, a button for adjusting ribbon tension, and many more. The Argox booth was busy at the annual Retail Solutions World Asia 2008 in Singapore, April 9~11, 2008. There we talked with many distributors and other partners from around Southeast Asia. This year Argox also had a private meeting room where we could discuss and demo products and provide training away from the crowds. It provided a different ambience for the show and we heard lots of good comments from our customers.

Argox was showing several new designs and product concepts, including the latest OS-214 plus, X-1000v, X-2000v, and F1 label printers, the AS-8120 imager, and the PT-80 portable data collector. Distributors and resellers from the region are always looking for total solutions for their applications. We received a lot of good feedback with many customers saying the features of our new products are perfect for their markets.

This annual event offers a great place to meet with our Southeast Asian partners and we look forward to participating again next year.
