> Introducing the OS-214plus and the PT-80

Argox announces two new products the OS-214plus barcode printer, and the PT-80 mobile computer.

OS-214plus

The OS-214plus is the updated version of our popular OS-214 thermal transfer and direct thermal printer. New features include a stylish design, a transparent window for checking label supply, much larger onboard memory, and a full-speed USB 2.0 interface for use with today’s notebook and other computers. Using TrueSpeed technology, the OS-214plus achieves a print speed of three inches per second, and can print ribbon banners, such as for bouquets or sashes, up to 43-inches long. The small footprint uses minimum space, and its light weight lets you move it to any convenient location.

PT-80

The PT-80 Mobile Computer is a wireless handheld computing device based on the Windows CE® operating system. The PT-80 consists of a barcode scanning CCD, a color LCD with touch screen, a backlit keypad, and wireless communication capabilities combined into one compact device. Hardware includes the Intel PXA270 CPU (520 MHz), 64MB of RAM, and 128MB of ROM. The standard Windows CE operating system offers easy customization and operation. Main features include stylus entry, long battery life, robust expansion capabilities, and wireless mobility via 802.11b. The PT-80 is ideal for use in a wide range of applications, such as field service, retail, and distribution.

Event Review

> CeBIT 2008, Hannover, Germany
Argox hosted a booth at CeBIT 2008, which was held March 4~9 in Hannover, Germany. Located near the RFID area, our staff had the opportunity to check out both new products and new companies. We were glad that many of our customers came by our booth. They gave us a lot of good comments and suggestions on our new and updated products.

It was a great show and our staff had some good stories to tell, from cross-cultural communication difficulties to getting lost in a vast parking lot. We would like to give special thanks to our Italian customer who brought cough drops to Joy. And to our German distributor Mr. Thomas Wirkotsch from Etisys, our staff wishes to thank him for his “auto-refill” candy. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year.
