| From November 7th through the 24th the Argox team traveled halfway around the world to visit customers first in South Africa, and then to Brazil and Chile in South America. The purpose of the road show was to introduce new products, provide technical training, update technical information, and check on the status of these markets.
In South Africa we visited our long-term partners for technical training sessions. Participants included people from sales, technical support, and engineering, who were all very professional. One thing that impressed us the most about our visit to South Africa was the hospitality and a real family atmosphere. We heard many valuable comments and suggestions about current and future products. Our partners are pleased with the performance of our cordless imagers, the AS-8510 and the AS-8000CL, and they look forward to seeing the new OS-214 Plus with USB interface. They also shared information about the South Africa market. We look forward to visiting South Africa regularly in the future.
Next we traveled to South America, which we last visited in November, 2006. In Brazil we introduced new Argox products, and discussed technical issues. One of our partners met with us during a holiday, and one customer flew from Bolivia. We heard one partner mention that they have grown 45% in the past year. The Argox OS-214TT is very popular in the Brazilian market. We are still learning about market requirements so we can continue to provide the right products.
Next we flew to Chile. Our partners there tell us that there is still a lot of room to grow in this market. They are willing to sell our extended product line. One partner is very interested in our portable data collector, the new PT-80 mobile computer. We also heard good comments on the slim design of the AS-8000CL cordless imager, which makes it easy for users to hold.
This road show was a long three week journey, but it was worthwhile to see all of our good partners. We look forward to going back in the second quarter of 2008.
