Argox North America was featured in the July issue of Scan: the Data Capture Report, a leading newsletter that covers the market for U.S. barcode and related technologies. The article discusses the opening of Argox NA and the background, alliances, and strategies that will contribute to its success. Also highlighted was the extensive experience of Argox NA's general manager, Bruce Glenn.

The Scan newsletter covered Argox NA's product and promotion strategies. For products in the North American market Argox NA will concentrate on the entry level. "We believe we can help fill a void in the market, and our goal is to provide high-quality products at a reasonable price," said Glenn. For promotion the new subsidiary will emphasize that Argox products are designed and manufactured in Taiwan. "The Taiwan name stands for quality and service, and that is what we will deliver in the North American market," explained Glenn.

Argox NA has its head office in Ventura, California and it provides full-service sales and support of Argox products throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Argox is scheduled to exhibit at the three-day Retail Business Technology Show in Melbourne, Australia, from July 28~30. Argox will announce that we now provide our full line of products and full-scale support for this territory.

The show is the first time Argox has exhibited in Australia, and our entire line of products will be on display. In addition to our sales staff, our field application engineers will also attend, and we look forward to holding a technical training seminar for our customers. Early in June Argox hosted our Taiwan Barcode Summit at the Formosa Regent Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan. Over 100 customers and members of the Taiwan barcode industry attended the show.

The show included presentations and application seminars by local system integrators. The presentations discussed topics such as service, marketing, and system architecture. Product demonstrations were also conducted at eight sites, which included demos of our new PDTs, the PT-10 and PT-12.

The Taiwan Barcode Summit was an opportunity for Argox to strengthen our connection with the local barcode industry, and we look forward to next year's event.

Argox exhibited at the Scantech show in Buenos Aires, Argentina at the end of June. The show was our first in this large South American country and it confirmed our expectations of finding a market with great potential.

Many of the country's major players came by to chat and our discussions were encouraging. We also saw many resellers and end-users that were attending the neighboring logistics show, and they were glad to learn about the benefits of barcode scanning for logistics applications. Our full line of products offering high quality at reasonable prices attracted much attention, and the focus was on our PDTs and scanners.

The Scantech show was a great success and we look forward to attending the next show in Argentina.
