Our Turkish Partners Visit Argox
Argox talks with our friends from Turkey

In February, Argox was fortunate to have two of our best partners from Turkey, Bilkur and Perkon, visit our main office to discuss how Argox can support their growing businesses.

When did you begin doing business with Argox? How did it start?

In 2000 we visited the Argox booth at CEBIT and bought some samples to test in our market. We decided to work with Argox. We knew at that time that Argox’s company would grow and we can do business with them and grow together.

For the barcode business in your markets, what changes do you expect over the next 5 years?

For the Auto ID market within the next 5 years we will have 2D codes for scanners, because applications need to use 2D codes. If you have 50 digits you need 2D codes. In 10 years it will be RFID, and we hope to hear something from Argox about RFID.

What has impressed you most about doing business with Argox?

If we have any problem we get an answer within 24 hours. They give us full after sales service. This is very important for us and for our customers.

We must also consider the competition, because we have many competitors in the market. If we can get any project and we have difficulty with the configuration of products or the pricing, we are happy that the Argox sales team can help us with all types of problems. This is the reality of our working together with Argox.

I can also say something about the quality of the products. For the scanners we have no problem. Up to now we have sold a minimum of 40,000 scanners in Turkey. Now all are still working with no problem. The quality of the scanners is very good.

The printers are also very good. For the industrial market we haven’t done anything up to now, but the sales team promised me that we can do something in 2008. But in retail and hospitals our quantity is huge. Our target is to increase our share in the industrial market.

What are the most popular applications for Argox products in the Turkish market?

Argox is a very well-known brand in the Turkish market, especially in retail and health. Hospitals use many label printers and scanners.

In 2005 we got a project from the government with Argox products. For one order we shipped to hospitals 3,000 label printers and 4,500 scanners. After that project all hospitals are looking for Argox products. Now in Turkey Argox has an 80% market share. In retail and hospital market Argox is number one.

We are planning to concentrate on the industrial market. I discussed this with the sales team at Argox and they promised to support us with new products in that market. They will come out with new products in March or April. I think with these products we will increase our sales in Turkey.

Do you have any suggestions to help Argox improve their products and services?

Our expectations for Argox are for new portable terminals and new printers. They must support us with more products for the industrial market.

What do you think of their current sales team?

They give us good service. I am very happy to work with Argox and I hope to grow with them together and double our business.
