Announcing the PT-18 PDC, and the AS-8000CL cordless scanner
In the July newsletter we introduce our latest products, the PT-18 portable data collector and AS-8000CL cordless scanner. | In June, Mr. Carlo Lucca and Mr. Gianpaolo Carrer, top managers from Pernix, our partner in Italy, spent a week at our office discussing plans for promoting the Argox line of products in Italy. The two gentlemen graciously accepted our invitation for an interview where they discussed the barcode printer market in Italy and offered advice and praise for Argox. | PT-18 Portable Data Collector |
|
|
|
| Argox will launch the new PT-18 Portable Data Collector (PDC) at the end of July. The pocket-sized PT-18 is based on our popular PT-12, and features a memory upgrade to 4MB as well as an infrared (IR) interface. When the PT-18 is inserted into its charging cradle the IR interface allows data transmission between the PDC and computer. The wireless IR interface saves on connector wear and tear, which often causes problems in industrial settings. The PT-18 comes with a charging cradle and rechargeable battery pack.
The PT-18 is bundled with ArgoBuilder software for building custom data collection applications. ArgoBuilder is user-friendly, multi-language, and available for all Windows environments. The cost-effective, lightweight PT-18 will increase the speed and accuracy of data entry for mobile operators. Applications include inventory control for warehouses, supermarkets, restaurants, hospitals and more.

| AS-8000CL Cordless Scanner |

| Available in mid-August, our new AS-8000CL Cordless Scanner is the wireless version of our popular AS-8000 Scanner. It offers the same advantages in speed, depth-of-field, reliability, sleek styling, and ease-of-use, but now there is wireless capability to give operators greater mobility for scanning those tough to reach barcodes.
The AS-8000CL cordless scanner is perfect for retail applications—easy to operate, light-weight and comfortable to use. This scanner reads all common barcode symbologies from contact up to a distance of 125mm. The rubber housing allows contact scanning for faster scans. An outstanding cordless scanner for retail applications, the AS-8000CL provides unbeatable performance in a cost-effective package.

| Argox's Russian distributor Scale participated in the Expo ROSUPACK 2007 tradeshow that was held in Moscow from May 26-29. There were 922 exhibitors from 37 countries at the show, which is Russia's major annual exhibition for the packing industry. Scale reported that there were 180 registered visitors at their booth, and 108 visitors showed interest in Argox products. |
